Business Line of Credit around Aitkenvale
The sheet (read 7 October 2026) is dated 14 December 2020, more than a year old. It says the centre will become a compact, walkable and vibrant mixed use urban neighbourhood. It is a planning outline, not a list of businesses or homes.
None of these pages mentions credit, so what follows is our inference, not a rule: a neighbourhood that mixes business and residential uses is where the line Treasury draws matters. Treasury says consumer credit laws, including responsible lending obligations, do not generally apply to business and commercial lending, but apply to mixed-purpose loans if the predominant purpose of the loan is not business-related, and an ASIC Commissioner said in 2019 that 'predominant' simply means 'more than half'. Which side of that line a loan falls on turns on its purpose, not its address. The council sheet says nothing about credit, and we state nothing about any particular loan.
